You are about to begin one of the most exciting times in your life after transferring to the University of Florida. The Office of Admissions wants you to have an easy transition as you continue your academic journey. Complete these steps to ensure a successful transition to the University of Florida.
You received your University of Florida Identification Number (UFID) when you submitted your application. You will need this number to perform any of the necessary and critical functions of a new student. If you no longer have your UFID, please follow these instructions to obtain your UFID.
GatorLink is your computer network identity at the University of Florida. Your GatorLink will be your official UF email address and offers access to a variety of campus computing services at no cost. You may have already created a Gatorlink account to access you application status. If you do not have a Gatorlink account, create one.
You will receive an appointment for orientation, academic advising and registration. All new transfer students must attend a one-day orientation to discuss academic requirements, receive academic advising from your college advisor and register for your courses. If you cannot attend, you must contact the Dean of Students Office at (352) 392-8396.
Your admission is valid only for a specific term, college and major. Admission is conditional until UF receives your final transcripts and validates successful completion of all conditions noted in your admission letter. Notify the Office of Admissions of any changes in the coursework you planned to complete before enrolling at UF. Any changes from what you indicated on your application could affect your admission. Send your final transcripts to the Office of Admissions, P.O. Box 114000, Gainesville, FL 32611-4000.
UF requires all new students to show proof of immunizations prior to attending UF Preview/orientation. In order to register for classes, students must submit a completed UF Mandatory Immunization Health History form.
NOTE: If needed, these immunizations may be obtained from the Student Health Care Center on the UF campus in Gainesville.
All domestic students who are enrolled at least half time in a degree-seeking program, and all international students are required to provide proof of health insurance that meets or exceeds UF's guidelines or they will be automatically enrolled in the default student insurance plan. More information
