At UF, You Can Expect an Affordable Quality Education

Scholarships - The university is committed to providing a quality educational program at an affordable cost. Scholarships are a means to defray the cost of tuition for qualified students. The following scholarship programs are available:

  • National Achievement Scholarships for the recruitment of African-American achievement finalists who are beginning freshmen. National Achievement finalists and semifinalists should contact Mike Powell at mtpowell@ufl.edu, 352-392-9960, for information.
  • Partner School Opportunity Alliance Scholarships for the recruitment of beginning freshmen from one of UF’s partner high schools: Jacksonville’s William M. Raines and Jean Ribault high schools, Orlando’s Maynard Evans and Jones high schools, Miami's Miami High and Miami Carol City High School. UF also has partner schools in New Orleans at St. Augustine High and in Atlanta at Frederick Douglass and Therrell high schools.
  • National Merit Scholarships for the recruitment of merit finalists who are beginning freshmen. National Merit finalists and semifinalists should contact Benita Bannis at bbannis@ufl.edu, 352-392-9960, for information.
  • Presidential Tiered Scholarships for recruitment of African-American beginning freshmen.

There also may be scholarships available directly from the college at UF you plan to major. Contact your college to learn more about scholarship availability and eligibility or refer to the Office of Student Financial Affairs.
