Students studying

Congratulations on your invitation to participate in this year’s Outstanding High School Scholars Program (OHSSP). This program has been designed to introduce high-achieving high school students to the many opportunities available at the University of Florida.

During the OHSSP, you and your family will become acquainted with the numerous academic programs and vast resources that UF and the University Honors Program have to offer. You will also meet students, faculty and staff eager to answer all your questions about the University of Florida.

The two-day Scholars Program begins Sunday, June 8, and concludes the following day at noon. After the program’s close on Monday, several academic departments will be providing facility tours, offering an opportunity for you to see more labs and classrooms first-hand. Registration for these facility tours will be available the day you check in.

On-campus lodging in Broward Hall is provided for invited students. Lunch and dinner on Sunday as well as breakfast Monday will be provided to all participants. Because residence hall lodging is limited to students only, a list of hotels and directions to campus has been provided for your parents’ overnight accommodations.

Selected students must register online by the deadline . You will receive confirmation of your registration along with directions to the university. Registration will close when the program reaches capacity, and this may be before the published deadline, so please register as soon as you can.

We hope you will be able to participate in this summer’s Outstanding High School Scholars Program, and we look forward to meeting you and your family this June!

If you have any questions about the program or if you have any special physical needs, please contact the Office of Outreach and Community Development at 352-392-9960.
