Application Status and Admission Decisions

Two to four weeks after submitting your application and application fee, you can check on the status of your application to make sure all the required application materials have been received before the deadline.

An application is not considered complete and no decision can be made until all materials have been received. UF may not notify you of missing materials, so it is important for you to check your application status online.

How to Check Your Application Status

  • Click the brown "Check Status" button from any admissions page.
  • Log on to ISIS with your official UF GatorLink username and password. This is not the temporary username and password you created to submit your application to UF.
  • If you have not created a GatorLink account, please do so now. You will need the UFID you received when you submitted your application; it is also on your printed application summary. It can take two days to process your account request, so allow for this time before attempting to log back on to ISIS.
  • The information you receive will identify the status of your application to UF, what, if any, materials are missing and provide instructions on how to proceed. This is also where you can receive information about your admission decision.

Admission Decisions

After the Office of Admissions verifies that your application file is complete, the file is forwarded to the college and academic department for admission consideration and decision.

Many degree programs have limited access, so admittance depends on space availability and the size and strength of the transfer applicant pool. Once a decision is made, the college will notify you in writing of an admission decision as well as any other requirements.

Unlike the set notification periods for freshmen admission, transfer admission notifications can occur at any time. If you have any questions, please contact the college directly.

Information about your application status is provided online as a convenience. While every effort is made to be timely and accurate, information conveyed by electronic means is unofficial. An official written notification of admission will be mailed to your permanent address. Please do not act on any information until you have received official notification.
