Directions By Car

Directions to the Office of Admissions

Criser FountainFrom I-75 North (exit 387), go 4.5 miles east on SR 26/Newberry Road (becomes University Avenue) to SW 13th Street. The main UF entrance is on SW 13th Street (US 441), one block south of University Avenue (SR26).

From I-75 South (exit 384), go 4.0 miles east on Archer Road to the intersection of SW 13th Street (US 441). Turn left onto 13th Street, head north for 0.5 miles. The main UF entrance is on SW 13th Street on the left hand side, south of University Avenue.

From I-95 take I-10 West. Follow I-10 west to US 301 South (Baldwin, exit 343) for approximately 37 miles. From US 301 take FL-24W in Waldo for another 14 miles. Turn right onto University Avenue (26 West). Make a left onto SW 13th Street (US 441). The main UF entrance is on SW 13th Street, one block south of University Avenue.

As you enter the main entrance to the University, Criser Hall is directly in front of you, just beyond the parking lot. Look for the large staircase; this is the entrance to the Office of Admissions.

Parking is extremely limited here and access through campus is restricted during the day. Visitors are encouraged to go to the Welcome Center for admissions tours and information. A visitor parking garage is also provided.

Directions to the UF Welcome Center

UF Welcome Center From I-75: Exit 384 (SR 24/Archer Road) and head east on Archer Road for 2.6 miles to Gale Lemerand Drive (formerly North-South Drive). Turn left onto Lemerand Drive for 1/2 mile to the light at Museum Road. Turn right onto Museum Road for one block, then left into the UF Bookstore and Welcome Center's driveway.

From I-95: Follow the directions to the Office of Admissions in Criser Hall. From SW 13th Street (US 441) turn right at the light on Museum Road for 1/2 mile. The UF Bookstore and Welcome Center is on the right, just past Center Drive.

From US 441 (13th Street): Turn west at the light on Museum Road for 1/2 mile. The UF Bookstore and Welcome Center is on the right, just past Center Drive.

From the Gainesville Regional Airport: Exit the airport drive. Right on SR 222 (39th Avenue) for 4 miles to US 441 (13th Street). Left on US 441 for three miles to the light at Museum Road. Right on Museum Road for 1/2 mile. The Welcome Center is on the right, just past Center Drive.

The UF Welcome Center and UF Bookstore parking garage is located at the Reitz Union, at the corner of Museum Road and Reitz Union Drive. Click here for map.

Visitors should park on the lower level of the Reitz Union parking garage. The garage is an unrestricted pay facility that can accommodate 300 vehicles.

Operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Short-term and daily fees apply during this time. The garage may be used during non-operating hours for short-term parking, free of charge.

Parking may be reserved in this garage for conferences and special events held at the Reitz Union or in nearby facilities.

By Plane

Gainesville Regional Airport is currently served by three airlines offering 13 non-stop flights each business day. The airport is approximately five miles from campus.

Taxi service from Gainesville Regional Airport to campus cost $12-18 depending on the number of passengers and the amount of luggage.

By Bus

Greyhound provides bus service to Gainesville. The Greyhound station is located 0.9 mile from campus. Call 1-800-229-9424 or refer to www.greyhound.com for information and reservations.
Regional Transit Service (RTS) provides bus service throughout campus and the city of Gainesville. Buses are free to UF students. Refer to www.go-rts.com for schedules and route information.


By Train

Amtrak provides rail passenger service from its nearby station in Waldo, FL. Shuttle service is available from Amtrak's downtown Gainesville ticket office, approximately 3 miles from campus. The office is open daily. Call 1-800-USA-RAIL or refer to www.amtrak.com for information and reservations.
