Information sessions and walking tours of campus are conducted at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. Saturday, excluding state holidays and special events.
Special Information
High school and other large groups should contact the Welcome Center in advance to set up a special weekday session and tour; there are no special group sessions on Saturdays.
General Tour Information
Admissions officers conduct half-hour information sessions to help prospective students and their families learn about admission requirements and application procedures. These sessions are geared primarily toward beginning freshmen.
Prospective transfer, graduate and professional students should contact their program or department directly.
Following the information session and weather permitting, visitors take a 90-minute walking tour of campus. Please be prepared for the tour; wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the season. The tour gives prospective students and their families a chance to see the campus first-hand, learn about UF history and discover the many opportunities the University of Florida has to offer.
While the tour does not go through a UF residence hall, there is a sample dorm room in Jennings Hall that is open to visitors weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tours are conducted by the Florida Cicerones, student ambassadors for the Alumni Association, who give a student's perspective on what it means to be a Florida Gator.
