Gators Go the Distance

Straight to the Olympics

Since 1972, more than 200 UF athletes have competed in the Olympics. Gators have won a total of 146 Olympic medals with 70 gold, 39 silver, and 37 bronze.

“Mr. Two-Bits”

The pregame “Two Bits” cheer is a UF tradition started in 1949 by George Edmondson who wore a pale yellow button-down with an orange and blue striped tie. To this day, honorary guests are selected to keep the history alive.

Apply for Financial Aid

Although you must be offered admission to UF before you are considered for financial aid, you should apply for aid as soon as possible. Complete the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov as soon as it opens, around October of 2024, to receive the best financial aid offer.

By March 2025, admitted freshmen who have filed the 2025-26 FAFSA will receive an official aid offer online at one.uf.edu. One or more of the four types of aid (grants, scholarships, part-time employment, loans) are usually offered to eligible students to make up their financial aid offer.

To find more information on financial aid, visit us at sfa.ufl.edu or schedule a virtual appointment via the OneStop at onestop.ufl.edu or call 352-392-2244.
