Admission options should be as individual as you are. Beginning at UF as an on-campus freshman in the summer or fall is not the only path to UF. There are several pathways to undergraduate admission that may be of interest to you, through both the freshman and transfer application process.

INNOVATION ACADEMY

Employers are always looking for creative individuals who aren't afraid of the unknown. UF's Innovation Academy (IA) prepares students to thrive in an innovative culture. This distinctive program embeds an innovation minor into more than 25 majors, leading to a convergence of original ideas centered on innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, ethics and leadership. With its spring-summer schedule, IA gives students the fall semester to pursue internships, study abroad, research and other opportunities. Interested students should apply to IA as part of their UF freshman application.

PATHWAY TO CAMPUS ENROLLMENT (PACE)

PaCE offers a blended learning model in which freshmen start their degree through our top ranked UF Online program and then transition to campus to complete their undergraduate degree. Freshman applicants are reviewed for admission to PaCE by selected major, and only applicants who select one of the PaCE majors will be considered for the program. There is no separate application for PaCE. Students admitted to PaCE will complete coursework through UF Online, then can transition to campus after completing a total of 60 credit hours and all prerequisite courses for their major. PaCE students have the option to move to Gainesville while taking their online courses and opt-in to campus fees to participate in campus activities at the start of the PaCE program. admissions.ufl.edu/apply/freshman/pace/academics

TRANSFER

Thousands of students come to UF each year as transfer students, most after completing an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree. As a junior-level student who has earned an AA degree or completed at least 60 credits of coursework, you can transfer to The Gator Nation to complete your degree. Each college and major at UF will have varying prerequisite course requirements and GPA expectations for admission.

Delaney Phelps and a friend started their own student organization, Honors & Aprons, focused on cooking, baking and food with the help of Honors advisors. Complete the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov starting October 1, 2022.

To receive the best financial aid offer, students should complete the FAFSA as early as possible.

Check your UF application status.

By March 2023, admitted freshmen who have filed the 2023-24 FAFSA will receive an official aid offer online at one.uf.edu. One or more of the four types of aid (grants, scholarships, part-time employment, loans) are usually offered to eligible students to make up their financial aid offer.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Merit Scholarships

Most of the financial aid at UF is awarded based on financial need; however, UF awards a limited number of merit-based scholarships. No separate application is needed beyond the application for admission. The scholarship review process is holistic, and there is no automatic awarding of UF scholarships based on test scores or GPA. Students who are selected for a merit-based scholarship will be notified mid-March, after receiving their admissions decision in February.
