After You Are Admitted

After you have been admitted to UF, follow this checklist so you do not miss an important deadline.

Get Your Gator Credentials.

As a new student, you will need a UF identification number (UFID) to perform many necessary functions. You can locate your UFID by clicking the UFID link on your check status page. Log in using your MyAdmissions credentials.

GET YOUR UFID

Connect with GatorLink.

A few days after you are admitted, you will receive an email that will prompt you to create your GatorLink username and password. This account name is public and is used as your access to most UF information systems as well as it will become your UF email address.


Access Your Official UFL Email.

GatorMail is the email service for our university and is the best way to stay in contact with your professors, advisors and others who are here to help you stay organized.

Complete the FAFSA.

To apply for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA opens on October 1 of each year. To receive the best financial aid offer, complete the FAFSA as early as possible.

Review Housing Options.

On-Campus Housing

Complete the housing application and submit the $25 non-refundable housing application fee. Applying establishes your priority for housing assignment only and does NOT guarantee an offer of residence hall space. Students who have applied for housing can expect to receive offers within two weeks of admittance.

PaCE Students cannot live on campus until they transition to residential, on-campus academic programs due to space limitations.

By May 1: Submit Official Test Scores.

If you chose to self-report your ACT and/or SAT scores during the application process, arrange to have the testing agency send your official scores to UF by May 1.


By May 2: Confirm Enrollment.

Confirm your enrollment and pay the non-refundable $200 tuition deposit via your UF application portal.

By May 4: Complete the UF Quest 1 Survey.

Complete the UF Quest 1 Survey to reserve a seat in a UF Quest 1 course.

PaCE Students do not need to complete this survey.

COMPLETE QUEST SURVEY

Register for Preview.

Register for Preview after you have confirmed your UF enrollment. You will receive an email with registration information for this mandatory orientation where you learn more about UF and register for classes.

REGISTER FOR PREVIEW

Before Attending UF Preview: Gator 1 Card Photo.

Upload a clear head/shoulders photo of yourself at the Gator 1 website at least 48 hours before your Preview appointment. Your Gator 1 card is your official campus photo ID that allows you access to many campus services.

Submit Immunization Information.

Every new UF student is required to show proof of having health insurance and certain immunizations before arriving on campus. To register for classes, students must submit a completed UF Mandatory Immunization Health History form. If needed, these immunizations may be obtained from the Student Health Care Center on the UF campus in Gainesville.

By July 15: Ensure Arrival of Your Transcripts.

All offers of admission are tentative until the Office of Admissions receives your final high school and/or college transcripts. Make arrangements to send your final high school and/or college transcripts to our office, as your school may not automatically do this.

Explore Optional Fee Package for PaCE.

The UF Online Optional Fee Package gives PaCE and UF Online students who choose to reside in or frequently visit Gainesville access to on-campus student services. The cost is assessed per credit hour. Students are not automatically enrolled; you must choose to opt in.
